I have been to a few craft fairs lately and will be headed to one in Milford tomorrow. I go to see what works, whats doesn't, and neat ideas.
Here is what I have come up with for helpful hints.
*Appearance is HUGE the more attractive and catchy you table is, the more people are going to stop and check things out.
*Organized tables are KEY
*Price everything CLEARLY
*Products that are in packages are super cute but make sure you have at least one out of packaging so buyers can get a close look at what they are getting.
*Some people set up their table as a display and have the items in boxes under the table so the table looks perfect and untouched. Then when someone likes a product you take the item from the box under the table.
* SELL your product. If you make headbands, wear one. Make cell phone charms? Have one on your cell so people get a picture of what it looks like. Show your product in use and people are more likely to purchase something they see in use, and, in real life.
* If you make something that may run out, make order forms with receipts so people can still order if you are sold out. Have your delivery date or pick up info. clearly stated so people are not in question.
*More to come
If you have any helpful hints let me know and I will add them.
** a special thanks to Sarah K. and Renae L. for lots and lots of GREAT ADVICE
