Helpful Hints

I have been to a few craft fairs lately and will be headed to one in Milford tomorrow. I go to see what works, whats doesn't, and neat ideas.
Here is what I have come up with for helpful hints.

*Appearance is HUGE the more attractive and catchy you table is, the more people are going to stop and   check things out.
*Organized tables are KEY
*Price everything CLEARLY
*Products that are in packages are super cute but make sure you have at least one out of packaging so buyers can get a close look at what they are getting.
*Some people set up their table as a display and have the items in boxes under the table so the table looks perfect and untouched. Then when someone likes a product you take the item from the box under the table.
* SELL your product. If you make headbands, wear one. Make cell phone charms? Have one on your cell so people get a picture of what it looks like.  Show your product in use and people are more likely to purchase something they see in use, and, in real life.
* If you make something that may run out, make order forms with receipts so people can still order if you are sold out. Have your delivery date or pick up info. clearly stated so people are not in question.
*More to come

If you have any helpful hints let me know and I will add them.

** a special thanks to Sarah K. and Renae L. for lots and lots of GREAT ADVICE

Table Info.

Tables will need to be provided by each vendor.
The table cannot be more than 6 feet long.
If you would like to bring something other than a table. Feel free to.
Some people choose to use racks, shelves, coat racks ect.
Please try to keep what ever you are using under 6 feet in length

Chairs will be provided.
If you need me to provide a table, there is a $4.00 fee.
If I am providing a table for you the table will be set up in your spot when you get there.

If you have any questions please contact me asap.

Thanks

Spaces

I measured the floor space this past weekend and I am trying to come up with a floor plan that has a designated path so no table will be missed. I think I have it down pat. I was trying to use the Ikea method where you are forced (or lets say guided) to walk through each section. Lets all hope it works out as good as it looks on paper.

Where is my $20 for my table going????

I have had people question what the $20 per table goes towards, so here it is in a nutshell... or a blog post.....

The money goes towards:
Advertising in newspapers and posters
Setting up
Cleaning the building
Man hours to put together
And a gift towards the church (usually you pay to rent a place but the church doesn't give a price.)

As for charity or charitable donations, Please see my raffle post.
Thanks

Look for these around town

I will be posting these around New Ipswich, Jaffrey, Rindge, Peterborough, ect...

Raffle Table

We will be having a raffle table during the bazaar. Each person who purchases a table is asked to donate 1 item to the raffle table. This item can be one of your crafts or a gift or gift card. Raffle tickets will be sold throughout the bazaar. All the proceeds from the raffle tickets will be going to a family in need.

I have asked for advice from people who have held craft fairs and bazaars and this raffle table idea seemed neat.
